Barcelona!

Barcelona is hands-down amazing and one of my favourite cities thus far! The tapas, sangria, siestas and late nights partying make for a great atmosphere. We met up with my good friend Panini (aka Claire), who had travelled from London for a long weekend. We rented a great 2 bedroom apartment just off Las Ramblas in the El Born area, which was in close proximity to the fabulous Boqueria Markets.

Friday night was spent spotting Gaudi’s works throughout the city and sampling tapas at Cervecería Catalana, while Saturday included people watching at the beach, eating huge dishes of paella and an all-night party. A very late Sunday lunch at the rooftop restaurant Attic on Las Ramblas was followed by jugs of sangria at Piknic Electronik, a great summer music festival that is held every few weekends at the top of Placa de la Sardana. I’m a little bit in love with Barcelona and can’t wait to return!
